Over the years my favorite thing to decorate in my home has always been my Holiday Table. I love to have it trimmed and decorated for the entire season as we love to entertain and this makes it easy to open our home to our guests for elegant dinners & parties without spending the entire day decorating and preparing. This year I have chosen to go with a very elegant and sophisticated palette of Silvers, Blacks, Creams, and Whites. A mixture of textures from the blanket of Faux Snow, to the Antique Glitter Plateaus really add beauty and interest to this table setting.
Adding height to your tables decor with a centerpiece as I have shown is so much fun. It allows for everyone around the table to access there favorite goodies and deserts. If you would like to see the details in these photos, Please click on each photo and it will enlarge.
The crown of our room is the old black wrought iron tole chandelier. Adding old mirrored ball ornaments, glittered tassels, and shimmering snowflakes give this chandelier such a gorgeous look. It is important not to forget all elements in your room when creating a Winter Wonderland Ambiance.
This beautiful china with the Silver Chandelier and rim was an early Christmas present to me this year. I love the way it looks and can easily be used year round.
My mother use to make Carmel Popcorn for all of her friends and neighbors when I was little. I remember her making it and watching her candy thermometer with anticipation waiting for the Carmel to reach the perfect temperature.
I adore mixing the Sterling Shiny Silver pieces with the aged tarnished patina of an old serving dish.
Another piece from the Vintage Chandelier & Crown China Collection. This teapot is great for holding hot chocolate, tea, coffee, or warm wassail.

Aloha from Hawaii, We have been here for 12 days now and have just been enjoying ourselves! We have spent our time Snorkeling, Boating, Site Seeing, and just basking in the Hawaiian Sun. My husband has sure been a trooper, 5 girls and 1 guy sure makes for a good combination of girl talk and fun! This is the first time my children have had the opportunity to go with us, and it has just been so much fun! Everyday has been full of laughs, jokes, and pranks!

The land here in Hawaii is so lush and beautiful with gorgeous flowers and vegetation. There is so much to see and do. I am including photos of some of the things we have had the pleasure of experiencing. The sunsets have been incredibly breathtaking. We had two very romantic dinners as the sunset over Lanai. Every second on this beautiful Island has been Heaven on Earth...Our plane leaves tomorrow and we will be sad to go, but happy to know we are always welcome back. Aloha, and Mahalo

With Halloween over and Thanksgiving just around the corner I think I have caught the holiday bug! I am so excited for this holiday season. Spend time with my family & friends, decorating my home, enjoying all of the scrumptious baked goodies the season brings are just a few of the things I love about the holidays.

This year for Christmas my husband and I are taking our four children to Maui for two weeks. They have never been and can hardly wait to go....All of you mom's know what I mean...asking everyday "How many more days until we go? Do they speak a different language there? Will we have to dress like them? etc..." So many questions that I haven't even thought of the answers to. We are very excited to introduce them to a different culture, and to watch them learn about and explore the beautiful land.

I guess this is partially my reason for my jump on the holidays! As I have been thinking about Thanksgiving and what I should bake to take to the annual Thanksgiving feast, I began to think of those things in which I am ~Thankful For~. I am so truly blessed in my life and thankful for the wonderful people around me that I get to love and cherish each and everyday! I am thankful for my beautiful home, and my talent & hobby to decorate it. I am thankful for my husband and the light he has brought into my life. I am so thankful for my children, every smile, every laugh, and every story they tell me! I am thankful for life's little Ah Ha moments, that make me smile. I am thankful for a healthy body, and strong inter spirit. I am thankful for all of you, that I have met here on the Internet and those that I haven't had a chance in meeting yet. You have all been such a delight, and blessing in my life. I love your creativity, your charisma, and your wit! And of course I am thankful for delicious food...

...Which leads me to share this fun and ~SIMPLE~ Recipe for the delightful individual Cheesecakes. They are super delicious, easy to make, and great if you have that sweet tooth craving and don't want to make a huge cheesecake! I have included the recipe for you below...Enjoy

16 ounces Cream Cheese -- softened

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

12 vanilla wafers

Beat cream cheese with all ingredients (except vanilla wafers) until smooth and creamy. Put 1 vanilla wafer in the bottom of a cupcake baking cup. Fill 1/2 full with cheese mixture. Bake at 350F degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool for 1 hour. Top with cherry, strawberry or blueberry pie filling.
Refrigerate and Waaa Laaa

It is fall here in Utah and the leaves have all changed color...the grass is drying up, and the birds have flown south for the winter. It is truly beautiful here in Utah year round, however fall brings with it the most spectacular display of foliage colors that flow from our majestic mountains to the valley. I have been wanting to start a blog for sometime now, as I have long admired all of the talented blogs and women out there, that share their lives and talents with us each day! I hope that I can become just like all of you someday!
